Dekalb Rotary and the DeKalb Public Library are participating in the City of DeKalb’s yearlong celebration of the 250th anniversary of our country . To celebrate, we are holding a patriotic story reading activities and a bike decorating contest for kids under 10 years old as follows:
- The library staff will conduct activities for kids focused on our 250th birthday
- Mayor Cohen Barnes will read a patriotic story about the founding of our country to the kids
- Kids will decorate their bikes and have a bike parade around the park to determine the best patriotically decorated bikes.
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for the best decorated bikes will be awarded.
